Increasing the safety of electronic products

Engineering electronics, whether if wired or wireless, are major polymer buyers. Both in electrical components as well as in consumer electronics, polymers play a key role in enabling the design and production of innovative goods that integrate new features and generally add convenience to daily life. Some characteristics of calcium sulfate that make it particularly suitable to produce polymers to be used in electronic engineering: thermal stability, good impact properties and the potential to enhance polymer’s flame-retardant properties by adding it in combination with other materials, such as clay.

Main Benefits
  • Thermal stability
  • Good impact properties
  • Enhancer of flame-retardant properties in combination with other materials (i.e. clay)
